Nicole has grown up on the Central Coast and has been dancing since the age of 5 training in classical ballet, lyrical, contemporary, character, commercial and cabaret jazz.  Nicole first started dancing at Central Coast College of Dance in Wyong with Tracy McDonald up to the age of 12, then when Miss Tracy moved overseas she became a student of Cheryl Warwick Dance Academy at Tuggerah with Miss Cheryl.   She feels very fortunate to have been taught and mentored by these 2 teachers particularly with her love of classical ballet.

 

During her years of dancing Nicole completed her RAD examinations with excellent results and competed in many eisteddfods on the Central Coast, Sydney and Newcastle in both solo and group performances.  

 

At age 15, Nicole started as an assistant dance teacher and after a number of years knew that teaching was what she wanted to do.  She commenced the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies (CBTS) in 2015, through the Royal Academy of Dance, achieving full accreditation as a ballet teacher.   Nicole has recently completed a teaching course with The Acrobatic Dance Association.

 

In July 2017 she travelled to London and attended the RAD Graduation Ceremony with students and teachers from all around the world and being presented with her Certificate by RAD President Dame Darcey Bussell. In May 2019 she had the opportunity to guest teach classes at the Ballet Academy Lucerne in Switzerland, while most of the students didn’t speak English it made her realise that dance is a universal language that any student can speak.

 

At the end of 2018 Nicole became a dance school owner, taking over Cheryl Warwick Dance Academy where she had been a part of for 16 years.   This was a dream come true for Nicole, a place where her students can come and make lifelong friends, have fun, learn new skills and feel at home.
